Mika made sure it was alright before wrapping his arm around Jin's waist to hold him more securely. "Sorry they were unexpected again."
Denali sighed and brought what he bought into the kitchen to set it down before walking back into the room to sit on the floor by Clydus' legs.
"You know you missed us being here."
"Yeah yeah."

Clydus gently messed with Denali's tail. "Something came up. We all rushed over to make sure everyone was alright."
Kure nodded, still staring at his feet. "I'm really sorry about the mud..."
He was still going on about that?
Meanwhile Jin played with one of Mika's hands, seeming lost in thought. He liked this. He always had anthro friends, but this felt... Nicer.

Mika chattered at him a little in annoyance but returned his full attention to Jin full after, purring and nipping at his ear every so often.
Kaleo looked Clydus over, noting how sweaty and torn up he looked. "Wait, how did you get here so fast? I didn't hear your car pull up,"

They stared. Even Kure stared.
"You..."
"I ran. From the tavern. I ran over here."
Kure looked at Kaleo, then at the others. They looked at him for answers but even he didn't think that sounded... Right.
"Why didn't you drive?"
"Because running is faster."

Kaleo stared at him in disbelief, but the more he thought about it he realized it probably is something he would do. "Clydus....The tavern is like an entire town over..."
Mika looked between Clydus and Jin as well. "Jeez.."

Clydus huffed, still out of breath. "And?"
Kure laughed. It wasn't just a giggle, it was a full-on laugh. He covered his hand with his mouth and doubled over a little, waving Kaleo off. He had to get up and move outside.
Jin looked concerned. "Okay."

Kure's laugh was infections, passing it on to Kaleo and Mika within seconds. "How have your feet not fallen off? But I do think I can see your sock through the bottom of your shoe." Kaleo pointed to his foot and giggled some more.

Clydus huffed. "I was worried about you but I guess you're fine now." He cracked a smile. "I'm glad. Mika's a keeper."
Jin stuck his tongue out. Clydus made faces back, only to have the back of his head bopped by Kure.
"You made me bite my tongue! Shit!"

Denali chuckled along with the rest of them at Clydus. "You want an ice cube, we have ice cubes."
Kaleo caught his breath and leaned back against Kure's chest. "If you weren't talking so fast you might have been able to spare the tongue pain."

Clydus waved both of them off and sat a little closer so Kure could rest his feet up on his shoulders. Somehow, it made Kaleo a little jealous. Clydus held Kure's legs on each side of his shoulders and sat back, relaxed. There was no sort of romance showing, but just their bond in general.
Kure spoke up.
"Jin, would you like me to drive back tonight and bring you anything?"
It'd have to be a while. He still wanted to escape and spend the day with Kaleo, but his need to protect his friend was overthrowing that completely.

Mika chimed in. "We could go back to your place for a bit to get you a change of clothes, if you want to stay another night that is. And get something to eat." Mika nuzzled him. They were just suggestions but he was really hoping Jin would want to stay with him longer.

Jin looked at Kure and Kure shrugged. "Hey, whatever works." He smiled, getting up. "We can drive you back. There's enough room... Well..." He looked at Clydus, who made faces back.
"I don't know... If there's enough room for everyone."
Clydus waved him off. "I owe Denali here a few beers. We'll be fine."

Denali smiled a little, in no particular direction. "Yeah he does go on shoo." He waved his hand at them a little.
Kaleo smiled a little and sighed, standing up and dusting off some of the dirt on his fur. "Let's get going then."
"I've been wanting to see where you live now anyway" Mika chimed in as he helped Jin stand up.

Jin smiled, giddy. He was hefted up by Mika and eagerly pushed at Kure. "Okay! Lets go!"
Kure almost tripped. He almost fell on Kaleo but gracefully sidestepped. He hissed.
"Okay. Okay."
They piled into his car, Clydus and Denali clanking drinks together as the door closed.
His car smelled nice...
Jin snuggled up against Mika after putting his seatbelt on. Kure was driving, of course, and Kaleo sat in shotgun.
This was a really nice car.
It purred to life, rumbling. Within moments they were bolting down the road. Everyone but Mika seemed to be completely okay with how fast he was going.
The roads changed from cement to dirt, and Kure started to slow down as the road started curving. Eventually, the close trees turned into a massive, open area, revealing an incredibly massive, impressive house.

Mika's face was practically glued to the window. Look at these big ass trees.
"Did we just drive to narnia or something??"
Kaleo chuckled a little. "No, just Kure's driveway. I live with him."
"Oh! Well you two sure work fast" He was impressed that his brother managed to snag someone so good.

Kure snorted a small laugh and Jin cracked a smile, excited. They pulled into the garage to Mika's slight confusion and got out. As Jin pulled him into the door, he realized, but Jin said it anyway.
"Yep. Living with Kure's pretty nice. Big home, quiet forest. A rest from the busy city, y'know?" He started tugging Mika upstairs toward his room. The poor cat was still awestruck and a completely thrown off. He swore he saw four of the same butler, not to mention the beautiful kitchen and livingroom.
Kure headed toward he couch. He was tired and it was hardly the middle of the day.

Kaleo followed after him, plopping down over his lap and stretching, fairly tired himself even though he wasn't the one who ran who knows how many miles.
Mika stuck close to jin, getting lost in this place was definitely not on his to do list for the day but he did want to see the rest of it. "This place is huge! How many people live here?"
Did Kure even know the answer to that?

Jin counted on his fingers. "Kure, me, Clydus... Well Clydus has a room but he really lives at the tavern. Oh! And a few others but they're mostly business associates." He folded some clothes together, tail wiggling happily.

Mika smiled at his cheerfulness, happy to have Jin back to normal from what he could tell. "Well jeez I wouldn't be surprised if this place had it's own area code. Can I see your room?" His tail swished hopefully, it wasn't creepy to want to see where Jin slept right?

Kaleo yawned and dusted off what dirt he could from his fur. "Don't get lost."

Jin nodded and stood up straight, walking with clothes draped over his arm. He moved a few doors over and across the hall, turning the knob and kicking the door open gently. Mika could tell this was his room, it smelled just like him, yet was very neat. It still had hand-made clothes sprawled about, but it was a very organized mess.
"Oops! I should have cleaned better."

Mika chuckled a little and walked around. "Are you kidding this place looks pretty spotless to me. I'm kind of embarrassed you saw how dirty MY room was compared to this." He walked over to Jin's sewing station, admiring the finished outfits on the mannequins. "You made all of these right? They're gorgeous"

Jin covered his face and his smile a little, ears drooping shyly. "Thank you... It's how I make most of my money. Through Kure's company." He sat on the end of his bed, pushing the veil on the bed out of the way. "And your room wasn't that messy. The butlers mostly clean after me. They keep everything nice and tidy without moving anything I still need."

Mika took a seat next to Jin after looking everything over, running his hand over the drapes hanging from the bed frame. "Wish I had some butlers, Denali always leaves his beer cans everywhere. So are these butlers like twins or something? I could have sworn I saw the same guy twice."

Jin shook his head. "They're octuplets. Well... They were." He frowned. "Septuplets, now." His hooves clicked against the shiny, tiled floor. He scooted to the side so Mika could sit with him. "They're all very close to Kure's family."

"Jeez you don't normally hear much about humans having septuplets...or are they not? Did they came to him looking for jobs or?" Mika leaned back on his arms and looked up at the impressive light fixture hanging from the ceiling.
