Shigeo quickly withdrew his hand and mouthed a panicked "sorry!" before sitting back to let Tabu have his own space with his leaf bird. Khaba giggled and pointed at Tabu. "Tabu has a crushy crush on the cute liffle garfenur." He laughed until Shigeo pushed him over. "Noooo! Shh! It's okaf, Tabutt. Minfy and you loob coot togethug." He laughed and slurred over his words as he sat on his head once more. "I say go for et."
Khaba rolled in the grass.

Tabu sighed and plopped down on his side, Mincy was cute but he wasn't interested in perusing him much any more, he had someone else in mind anyway. "Yeah yeah hes not interested inme anyway." Why even bother.

Khaba shrugged. "Give you mor choifes? I fink he finks ur coot!" He giggled then stopped rolling. "I'm sleepy." Shigeo got up and helped Khaba up. "Kendrick get... Get him a roof. A roog. A ROOF. Room. Yes." He nodded. "That."
Kendrick nodded and helped Khaba inside.

Tabu hiccuped and watched them walk away, content to just sleep in the garden. "Kendrick can you tell Minty to stay with me the rest of the time we're here? I need more leaf birds."

Kendrick nodded and hurried away, Shigeo shrugging and following after Khaba. This left Tabu alone for a good moment, animals in the garden staring at him from their hiding spots.
To what felt like hours to Tabu were only the few minutes it took for Kendrick to bring Mincy over. The poor boy looked confused and a little frustrated.
"Orders are orders." Kendrick mouthed, smiling wide to the glaring Mincy.

Tabu patted the spot next to him, staring up at the sky. "Lay down withme." He was starting to sober up, but he could still use the company.

Mincy looked at Kendrick, who nodded as a silent "it's okay for you to do this" gesture, then went to take his gloves off and settle next to Tabu. The shade was nice, and Mincy wasn't used to breaks. He forced himself to get it through his head that this was allowed, he didn't need to focus on work. Still, this general stranger worried him.

Tabu hiccuped again then sighed, staring at his bird leaf. "I like this thing, how did you do it?"

He picked a large leaf from a nearby bush and stared gently cutting and folding the leaf until it was another bird. He put it next to the bird Tabu already had, only it was much smaller than the other bird.
"Like that. I can show you when you sober up."

Tabu took the new bird in his free hand and held it up next to the other. "Can you only make birds??" Seemed like a dumb talent if all you can make out of leaves are cups and birds...."Make a rhino." He grabbed another leaf for himself and was determined to make one faster than Mincy, completely confident that he could in his drunken state. "HA did it before you take that." He shoved the now lumpy folded leaf towards Mincy. Yeah, take my leaf.
